The average person gives off a pint of water vapor as perspiration during an eight hour sleep. 350 or 500 gsm Wool Comforters - Weights

Our wool bed comforters are made in two weights: 350 gsm and 500 gsm. Grams per metre (gsm) is the amount of wool (by weight) inside the cotton quilting, in a square metre. The 350 gsm is approx. equal to the warmth of two good quality blankets, but lighter weight of course. The 500 gsm is approx. equal to the warmth of 3-4 good quality blankets.

The 350 gsm wool bed comforter is a three season wool duvet, but will be fine year round in a normal heated house or in warmer climates.
The 500 gsm wool bed comforter is a 4 season wool duvet, and is the absolute top of the line for wool bedding.

Because wool is a natural insulator the duvet is able to be made light in weight so they are exceptionally comfortable to sleep under. The size that you prefer is a matter of personal choice. The most popular is the 500 gsm weight wool bed comforters for temperate climates and the 350 gsm comforter is best for warmer climates.

The wool bed comforters are made in Cot, Single, Double, Queen and King sizes. We recommend a cotton cover for your comforter to keep it clean and help them last for many years.

The Threadcount of 170 and an English Cotton Count of 30 x 30, combine to prevent wool migration whilst maximising comfort with its soft, luxurious finish.

No cold spots!

Wool bed comforters do not develop cold spots. The quilting holds the wool in place so there are no hot and cold spots. No feathers! The wool will not move around.

Cleaning Instructions - Wool Comforters

The wool bed comforters can be hand washed with a wool detergent before using a gentle spin cycle or drycleaned. They can be hand washed in a tub which is best for the larger sizes. They are not suitable to put in a dryer.
